For greater precision in earthquake tracking, iPod touch and iPad WiFi users have the option to manually specify their current location.

To facilitate localized monitoring for users in particular regions or areas of interest, QuakeWatch offers features that allow users to define local earthquakes within their desired radius. The app then presents these localized earthquakes based on proximity or recency, coloring recent earthquakes within the previous two hours blue for quick identification.

Lastly, QuakeWatch takes into account the convenience of users by displaying all times in their respective time zones. Additionally, the app does not incorporate banner ads, ensuring an uninterrupted user experience.
